Unbeknowst to him, Hinata already likes him but is so painfully shy that can't gather the courage to talk to him. After "selling" his soul, Naruto feels finally confident enough to ask Hinata out. Gaara disappears. A month later, he shows up again and asks Naruto to help him to approach one of Naruto's friend, Rock Lee.
